Elevated Goods : Rita Row

Every item for Descendant is selected with the modern woman in mind. But what does "modern woman" even mean? To some it might mean a woman who has chosen the career route and to others a woman who is unapologetically embracing motherhood, however most of us can agree the term is heavily nuanced and certainly personal.

Founded in Barcelona in 2013,  Rita Row was created for an imaginary character - Rita - representing a hardworking, contemporary, driven woman. She seeks garments that unite what's nostalgic and current, comfortable and elevated. The brand has certainly achieved that sentiment with pieces that are luxurious but practical- pieces we can wear in our everyday lives or special moments and everything in between.

While we love beautiful clothes, our truly love aligning ourselves with like-minded brands and supporting makers with a mission. Upon discovering Rita Row, it was clear that their message is right in line with our own- uniting elegance and function and celebrating women, all while practicing ethical and sustainable production.

Each piece at Rita Row is designed and crafted on the Iberian Peninsula, allowing the company to be an active member of the local economy and also have greater control of the process. The team at Rita Row has developed long-term relationships with the factories they partner with in order to ensure whole, dignified work environments with fair wages. In committing to more sustainable and ethical practices, Rita Row aims to inspire consumers to become wiser, more responsible shoppers.
